The Traditional Healers Organisation (THO) was established to organize, train and certify traditional healers, it also serves as the advocacy lobby group for traditional health, and fight for healers’ rights.
The project aims to increase the safety and protection of women Healers and their children and the elderly by working with the abusers and torchers.
- To increase the ability of female victims, their children, families and partner (s) to address their safety and protection
needs. - To develop ways of working with men and youth who abuse and torch iziGodlo and homes of abeLaphi (healers) and the elderly in order to eliminate violence against women and children.
- Enable men to work through attitudes, values, and to develop skills that promote non-abusive behaviour and gender equality
