At Usizo Community Development Projects, we are dedicated to promoting self-reliance, human dignity, and eradicating Gender Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) in the township of Soweto.
Our project aims to reduce the frequency at which violence against women and young girls, occurs in the informal settlement areas. Working together with relevant stakeholders. Usizo Community Development Projects’ set goal is to effectively utilize its network to ensure that Gender based violence against women and young girls living in informal settlements is detected early and interventions that focus on preventing the violence from continuing are immediately employed. Our primary focus on this project will be targeted at intimate partner violence addressing Societal Cultural Norms and Values and attending to male superiority to influencing positive masculinity in informal settlements.
