The CABC is a section 18A non-profit company. We work across a variety of thematic areas including; social and political division, social prejudice, public health and safety, and sustainability. We amplify civil society messaging in the digital age to empower citizens and communities.
HeCareZA is an integral part of the CABC that utilises the power of social media to map gender discrimination online, to engage men and the general public in transformative and self-reflective dialogue on GBV. Through these conversations, we identify leverage points for effective behaviour change with an aim toward ending the epidemic of GBV in SA. The project has expanded its reach by training organisations, groups and individuals as digital activists, with pilot in-person engagements occurring in KZN. Through further funding, we hope to grow our offering as a community partner by providing more effective and continued training.
