Omega Centre was established in 2010 by Brenda Jeffreys, Ebeth Pedro and Yvonne Thomas. The aim of the organisation is to deliver a basket of services to communities which varies from Health Care including HIV testing, blood pressure measuring, and health promotion. Food Security, distribution of food and clothes. Omega Centre also aims to empower and develop mostly women through leadership and life skills camps, learnerships, skills programmes, I protect me programmes and providing work opportunities to women.

The aim of the WVLSA project is that trained and equipped community health workers will able to provide health promotion to community members in the areas they serve. Health care workers will have the tools necessary to provide health promotion and screen community members. We will provide health promotion to mostly women who on their part will be able to care better for their families and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Health workers will be able to not only focus on COVID-19 training but also screen for other communicable and non-communicable diseases.
