The Sasopsbiz Foundation has partnered with Zizameleni Action Group of the Disabled (ZAGD), an NGO/NPO established to create jobs for persons with
disabilities. The NPO currently manufactures and sells cane products. The event seeks to find transformative solutions from the women with disabilities.
The event is designed to shine a spotlight on the need for economic inclusion of persons with disabilities particularly women – THE WALK. We will showcase the work and talent of women with disabilities to demonstrate their capabilities and to invite support – THE EXHIBITION. We will also host a round table discussion on the theme with a panel from the community of women with disabilities – THE PUBLIC EVENT.
Kwanele will be running programs around accessing justice, holding the government and SAPS accountable and how to use your voice on your social media for advocacy. The main goal of this event is to onboard as many young womxn onto the Kwanele Mobile application as possible. A dialogue will then be facilitated by an NPO specializing in social justice where we will explore the key barriers to justice associated with GBV and potential solutions to these barriers. Once the dialogue is finished the youth will be given the opportunity to present the barriers and their potential solutions to the police and the ward counselor.
