Journey to success through Afriqueer

“I am now a self-development podcaster, network marketer, owner of a pride merchandise line”.

My journey began when I attended a stock photoshoot for The Q Networq, which at the time, was called Queer Womxn in Business (QWB). It occurred exactly 2 months after I had registered my company in 2020. It was the perfect time as I was looking for guidance on this new career path and had a burning desire to connect with experienced entrepreneurs that I could learn from.

I was the youngest attendee at the mere age of 19, but that never stopped The Q Networq team from taking me seriously and supporting my vision. Since joining this community, The Q Networq team has really taken it upon themselves to nurture me as a young entrepreneur. Navigating the business world as a young person can be lonely, confusing, and quite frankly, discriminative.

Although many established entrepreneurs can feel threatened by the breath of innovation that the youth brings, The Q Networq harnessed this aspect of myself by mentoring me and allowing me to connect and collaborate with seasoned professionals in the industry.

I am now a self-development podcaster, network marketer, owner of a pride merchandise line and the founder of a pan-African LGBTQ+ platform known as “Afriqueer” which serves to educate people about African queer culture and history whilst curating safe spaces where African queer people can connect with one another and feel represented. I attest the growth and stability of my business currently, to the mentoring I have undergone within the supportive and inclusive community that The Q Networq is.
