Gender Links (GL), a dynamic Southern African NGO headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa, seeks the skills of proficient service providers based in Limpopo to offer bookkeeping support services. The bookkeeping support services will be for the Women Voice and Leadership South Africa (WVL –SA) a project managed by GL and funded by Government of Canada. The services are required for three grantee women’s rights organisations (WROs) based in Giyani: Taaibosch and Tshilamba. The WROs work in local rural communities to empower Gender Based Victims (GBV), offer psychosocial support and legal advice.
The bookkeeping services sought aim to strengthen the institutional, financial and capacity of the three WROs. WVL-SA requires these grantees to submit financial reports on a monthly basis using Sage Pastel Evolution and upload financial support documents on SharePoint document storage system. They have access to a helpdesk with relevant finance guidelines and finance form templates like payment requisitions, quote comparisons and petty cash vouchers. The successful service provider will be expected to:
- Be based in Limpopo and able to make onsite visits.
- Be proficient in Sage Pastel Evolution
- Have a background working with NGOs
- Demonstrate the ability to provide support and build capacity, i.e. transfer skills in basic understanding of financial management concepts, bookkeeping and financial record keeping skills.
The consultancy is envisaged to take from 1 July to 30 September 2021.
